Film Premiere Event

Brand USA

Celebrating America's Musical Heritage

Novak Birch supported the worldwide and theater premieres of America’s Musical Journey, Brand USA’s second IMAX® film produced in collaboration with MacGillivray Freeman Films. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, this inspiring film follows singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces the roots of American music and explores great musical cities across the nation.

The two-day premiere event included the worldwide premiere at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the theater premiere at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. The theater event featured a red carpet entrance, VIP area with speakers, and themed catering, plus live performances by Isaac Parham Band, Willow Osborne, DC Casineros, Cardinal Shehan Choir, and Aloe Blacc.

Novak Birch’s support included:

  • Press Kits: To generate excitement prior to the film premieres, we designed and produced custom press kits containing classic movie theater treats, a Bluetooth speaker, press release, and flyer.
  • Collateral & Promotional Items: To welcome guests to the events, we designed, wrote, and printed film booklets, designed event badges for guests and VIPs, created branded gift bags with popcorn and posters, and designed branded water bottles and chocolate, which were distributed in the concession area prior to the film.
  • Event Management: We provided complete event management services, including creative display signage and banners, live show stage management, photographers and backdrops for photo opps, and on-site support for both events, including coordination with live performers and on-site vendors, e.g., venue staff, lighting, sound, catering, and décor.

The America’s Musical Journey event received significant press coverage resulting in 57 original articles and an additional 47 articles published through syndication. The total reach of the press included an audience of close to 594 million and a total ad value of $50.6 million.
