When Choice Hotels rebranded, we designed and built a welcoming, exciting exhibit booth to help them reveal the new brand at their annual convention.

Choice Hotels is one of the largest and most successful lodging companies in the world, with more than 6,400 hotels franchised in more than 35 countries and territories. As Choice Hotels’ marketing partner for 10 years, Novak Birch provided comprehensive support to their annual convention, where Choice communicates important franchisee information to hotel owners, general managers, executives, and more.

When Choice rebranded, the annual convention served as the perfect platform to release the new brand, giving franchisees a sneak peek at the new logo and advertising campaign before the public launch. Choice tasked Novak Birch with creating a space that would generate excitement and reveal the new brand to franchisees at the convention.

We designed, fabricated, and produced an inviting 28′ x 30′ booth that incorporated Choice’s new brand elements and welcomed franchisees to the new Choice Hotels at the entrance to the convention. As franchisees entered, they were personally greeted by Choice executives. In addition, bright, 12′ columns offered welcome and thank-you messages, while a 20’ hanging TV screen featured Choice’s new brand messaging. Additional TV screens introduced the new brand and offered a preview of Choice’s new advertising campaign. At the center of the space, three whiteboard walls invited franchisees to write answers to questions such as “How do you make your guests feel welcome?” and “How do you connect with your guests?” The open, welcoming layout allowed smooth traffic flow and encouraged interaction.

The booth generated pride and excitement among franchisees, who passed this on to associates at their properties as Choice launched the new brand.
